Chase Norris for San Marcos City Council

Fighting for tenant rights, flood safety & a thriving San Marcos for all.

Born in rural Texas & educated in Austin, grounded in public service, I’ve spent my life working to protect water, restore trust in democracy, & make government serve the common good. From environmental advocacy to local organizing, I believe in the quiet strength of community & the power of policy shaped by love.

My wife Jess & I are both Texas Master Naturalists, and we find joy in spending time together in nature, like the San Marcos River, fed by ancient artesian springs, a sanctuary for endangered species & a living symbol of environmental stewardship, a reminder of the fragile beauty we’re called to defend.

Welcome to The Sunroom Project — a home for dignity, democracy & the common good in San Marcos.

I’m Chase Norris, a public servant, community builder & environmental advocate running for San Marcos City Council, Place 1. I’m fighting for tenant rights, flood safety, affordable housing, good local jobs & clean water for every neighborhood. I believe San Marcos deserves leadership rooted in love, truth & shared purpose — leadership that protects our river, supports our small businesses & keeps our city livable for all.

Explore the vision. Join the work. Let’s build a San Marcos where everyone belongs.
